The honourable Minister for Ministry of Labour and Human Resources, Lyonpo Ugyen Dorji made his familiarization entourage to Jigme Wangchuck Power Training Institute (JWPTI) on February 15, 2019. Lyonpo was provided with a grant and hearty welcome by the staff and trainees of the Institute ushering with marching ceremony.
Lyonpo met with the faculty members, staff and trainees of the Institute and briefed on the importance of TVET Education in the country. He also emphasized on acquiring high skills to meet the present job market demands and replace all experts on the existing job markets. Lyonpo provided a platform to share the views of both faculty members and trainees regarding any issues that hinder their smooth transition of training – learning activities.
Lyonpo has visited the entire training facilities including the ongoing infrastructure on augmentation of the institute. Lyonpo is seen off by the institute in the morning of February 16, 2019 back to the capital Thimphu after the successful entourage.
