The Institute faculty members led by the Training Director had warmly welcomed the Hon’ble Resident Coordinator of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Mr. Gerald Daly on December 9, 2018.
The visit to the TVET Institution by such high level official from foreign Development partners is of great significant and an indication of importance placed to the TVET Sector.
There was a brief meeting with the Head of the Institute and Sr. faculty member on the role of UNDP and its supports to the Nation’s Development. Basically, he informed that UNDP try to provide supports in five areas to Bhutan;
1. Agricultural
2. Health
3. Education
4. Road network and
5. Good governance.
The Hon’ble Resident Coordinator has visited the training facilities of the institute and met with some trainees in the classroom where he spent some time providing wisdom to our youth. He left towards the capital after a short tour in the campus.
